My connection with gardens and plants began long before I became a tour guide.
I studied botany independently, driven by curiosity and a deep love for nature. This path led me to work for eight years at the Roberto Burle Marx Site, where I developed a profound understanding of his work, his plant collections and his way of seeing the world through landscape.
Later, I lived in the Glória neighborhood, beside Flamengo Park — a project also designed by Burle Marx. The park became my daily landscape, my open classroom and the place where my passion for cycling grew stronger.
One day, I wrote the idea of a bicycle tour on a piece of paper. I saved money, bought bicycles and prepared the route. Then the pandemic arrived, and everything stopped.
Years later, that idea came back stronger and clearer. I realized that my story, my knowledge of botany, my experience at the Burle Marx Site and my love for cycling were not separate — they were parts of the same journey.
Today, I guide travelers through gardens, landscapes and city history — sharing not only information, but a way of seeing Rio de Janeiro with care, respect and curiosity.
